This video is a short introduction (1m 38s) to the YouTube Channel, The Victorian. The introduction describes what to expect from the channel. The aim of the channel is to explore Australian Rivers from source to mouth (or vice versa). Each episode will try and take a look at the rivers from popular viewpoints and viewpoints that may not usually be considered.
This video (16m 30s) explores The Loddon River from the mouth of the river through to its source. The video starts at the mouth where it flows into the Little Murray River. We travel down through Benjeroop and onto Kerang Lakes, a feature in the Lower Loddon Flood Plain. We take a look around Lake Charm and some of the other lakes before proceeding on to Kerang, the largest town on the Loddon River.
We stop at the Serpentine Weir then on to Bridgewater on Loddon. After Bridgewater we travel through Newbridge, Laanecoorie, Laanecoorie Reservoir, Eddington, Baringhup, Cairn Curran Reservoir, Welshmans Reef, Newstead, Guildford, Vaughan, Glenlyon, Loddon Falls, and Lyonville Springs before arriving at the source south of Lyonville.
